Set What You Need
The price settings in Redlike allow you a lot of flexibility. First, in Pricing Options, you decide what functions you want to use. For example, you define the use of purchase or sell prices, price groups and their number, and currencies, but most importantly for this article – you select the price calculation. There are three price calculation types in Redlike – margin, markup and discount.
Once allowed, all three types can be specified in the section Margin and discount and this setup is valid for all items (all colorants together and/or all bases together). The values can be further changed and edited for individual items (individual colorants and/or individual bases).
Adjust Your Value
Each of the types uses a different way of price calculation. Margins and markups add value to the basic prices (they should be used in combination with purchase prices) and discounts subtract from it (they should be used in combination with sell prices). To make things clear visually, each type has their own colour:
- margin is yellow,
- markup is blue,
- discount is green.
Those price calculation types are further displayed as tabs in the price panel so you can compare the prices quickly. Also, do not forget about the great feature of hiding individual prices – simply click on the price and it will be hidden. With another click, you make it reappear.
