    Making an Intelligent Machine

    By Martin Mádle | Features | Comments are Closed | 7 October, 2020 | 1

    The Old/Simple Way

The very basic support of manual dispensers in Redlike is set by the machine name “Manual Simple”. This setting opens you a new door to the unit machine which provides information about dispensing in gauges. The display of the gauges is settable.

Like with automatic machines, Redlike keeps track of all of your dispensings if you Save the dispensing into the Dispensing history. With this setup, you are losing none of the amazing features which Redlike has to offer – use of spectos and colorimeters, ordering system, favorite and custom formulas, customers, electronic fandeck view or extra formula data and much more.

If you are an old school minimalist, this is completely fine – simply turn off any additional features which might feel useless and make it your own way. Or you could sample the taste of 21st century:

    The New/Advanced Way

By a single-click action which is switching between “Manual Simple” to “Manual Advanced” in the settings, you can experience a tremendous upgrade which results in making a manual dispenser intelligent. This option is available also for the Manual Dispensing license version and can be switched to from “Manual Simple” at any point. Suddenly, an entirely new perspective emerges.

Before the dispensing (truly dispensing, not making a note of a phantom dispensing), the dispenser operator can be shown the product package and also be asked to scan its barcode as a protection measure. Another advantage is that the print label can be printed automatically and the current colorant levels are displayed at all times, including during the dispensing process.

“Manual Advanced” as the selected manual dispenser type allows the operator to keep records of the colorant refills as well as colorant consumption, enables colorant refill validation via barcode scanning and autotasks, and informs about the potential critical or warning level of a canister.
