DESO was established in 2010 and every year since that time meant for us a lot of news – we have released new products, built our team, got new customers and opened new partnerships. Gradually, we have established ourselves on the market and have built the DESO brand as an expert in software solutions for paint shops. But the year 2019 was exceptional, it’s been a hell of a ride.

We have launched a new version of our dispensing software Redlike 2 on the market. It immediately became a bestseller thanks to many innovations it brings to our market. The most important are modern and fast user interface, unique support of Windows and Linux, the best possible integration with all types of dispensing machines, unlimited possibilities of design and function customizations and also new features such as advanced ordering system, pricing system, full-text search, barcode control, etc.
Only in 2019 itself, we acquired several new customers from the largest paint producers and also from big retailers, resulting in more than 2000 new Redlike 2 installations. But this is just the beginning as the ongoing installations of these customers alone will probably exceed 5000 licenses during the next year.
The second of our core products, Business Intelligence and Machine Maintenance Tool TMC, has been gradually establishing itself since its launch in 2017. Big Data or Internet of Things are today a trend across different industries but it is still a rather neglected area in paint shops. We believe that also thanks to our awareness, the year 2019 was a turning point. TMC ceases to be perceived only as advanced statistics or an interesting gadget and becomes a much sought-after tool in the eyes of customers with clearly visible benefits.
TMC users are changing their approach from a reactive machine maintenance (waiting for the store reports any issue) to a proactive (I can immediately see any problem appearing and start a solution). We have also introduced new features such as highly detailed and accurate total cost of ownership tracking, advanced ticketing system, but also new services to help with faster initial integration and long-term maintenance.
In 2019 we exceeded 5,000 connected devices and the number is growing rapidly. In addition, the first customers are with us already for the third year and their data show another perspective for TMC when comparing long-term trends.
Our visualization tool Colorstudio continues in the previous trend. Hundreds of professional visualizations that we create every year helps to the final customers to choose their color combinations and also serves to our customers (paint manufacturers or retailers) as a very effective marketing tool.
The year 2019 meant also a change in the basic character of our company. From a progressive company of a partial startup type, which has built its product portfolio and market position, we are becoming a regionally to the globally successful player. The proof is the year-on-year increase in turnover by more than 100%.
We are also pleased by the fact that a new customer typically comes to us with a demand for one product and, after trying out the cooperation with DESO, extends it very quickly with other products.
This year we have built also a new Customer Care department, which managed to handle already the 1000th ticket at the end of December, build new helpdesk sites help.on-redlike.com and help.on-tmc.com and launched a new pilot projects service. This provides our customers with short-term, non-binding cooperation during which we analyze in detail your internal environment, identify opportunities to improve the store operation, laboratory, and machine maintenance, share our best practices, and fully integrate our products for pilot operations and testing the impact of proposed processes.
The DESO team has grown by almost 40% and such a Christmas party in 21 people is worth it!
