The Idea Known to All
The brilliance behind smart purge is well-known. It can be expressed by the following rule – do not perform purge unless necessary. But how do you decide when the “necessary” point has been hit? Your experience differs from ours so although we can give you some recommendations, we strongly believe that you are the one who should decide.
The value Deso can bring to you on this topic is how we cover the functioning in the dispensing software Redlike 2.
The Process Known to Few
In Redlike, smart purges can be done daily. Activating a smart purge means that the software checks a few conditions set by you. These smart purge rules can differ from one canister to another. Thus, for each canister individually, it can be set:
- how much should be dispensed during the purge (purge volume),
- how much must have been dispensed before the smart purge to avoid it (min dispensed amount),
- and what should be counted when evaluating whether the purge is necessary or not (type considering either previous purge only, dispensing only, or a combination of both – purge and dispensing of the given colorant)
As smart purges are such a lovely feature, we implemented multiple ways for you to work with it. First of all, there is the possibility to check smart purge necessity directly in the detail of each canister. This button evaluates quickly whether the conditions in the section Smart purge rules (see above) have been met that day or not. If not, the purge process is prompted.
When yearning for a more complex functionality, visit the Single Actions section in the Maintenance menu. For purge, 4 different actions are available. Smart purge can be done for each canister individually again, or you can simplify the check by having them evaluated all in one click.
Still want to go a step further? Then navigate to the Autotasks section instead. In here, it can be set to have smart purge performed automatically either in regular intervals, at a specific time, or along with a specific event. Once set up, let the magic happen.
